Fellowi Coins, Explained: What You Actually Pay Per Image
By The Fellowi Team · · 5 min read

Fellowi Imagesdoesn’t run on a subscription. There’s no monthly plan to sign up for and nothing to remember to cancel. Instead, you spend Fellowi Coins: a simple balance you top up when you want to, and draw down one generation at a time. A Standard image costs 40 coins, a High quality one costs 60. That’s the whole pricing model - here’s what it actually costs to keep that balance full.
The six packages
Coins are sold in six fixed packages. Bigger packages include bonus coins on top of the base amount, so the effective price per coin drops as you buy more:
- Starter - 500 coins - €2.99
- Plus - 1,000 coins + 250 bonus = 1,250 coins - €3.99
- Creator (most popular) - 2,500 coins + 750 bonus = 3,250 coins - €9.99
- Pro - 5,000 coins + 1,750 bonus = 6,750 coins - €19.99
- Studio - 10,000 coins + 4,000 bonus = 14,000 coins - €39.99
- Business - 25,000 coins + 12,000 bonus = 37,000 coins - €99.99
Work it out per 1,000 coins and the trend is straightforward: Starter runs close to €4 per 1,000 coins, and by the time you’re at Business that’s down to roughly €2.70. There’s no trick to it - buying more up front is simply cheaper per image, the same way a bulk pack of anything usually is. For what each quality tier actually costs per image once you have coins, see our quality and formats guide.
40 free coins to start
Every new account gets 40 coins the moment it’s created - no purchase required. That’s exactly enough for one Standard-quality image, so you can write a prompt, generate something real, and see the result before you decide whether to buy anything at all.
Coins don’t expire
Once you buy coins, they sit in your balance until you spend them. There’s no monthly reset, no “use it or lose it” countdown, and no penalty for buying a bigger package and taking your time with it. Buy once, generate whenever you actually want an image.
If a generation fails, you get your coins back
Every so often a generation doesn’t come back cleanly. When that happens, the coins you spent on it are refunded to your balance automatically - you never pay for an image you didn’t receive. It’s a small thing, but it’s the difference between a pay-as-you-go balance you can actually trust and one where a failed request quietly costs you.
How to pay
Coin packages are purchased through PayPal at checkout - no separate wallet or account to set up beyond your Fellowi login. Package names, sizes, and prices can change over time, so treat the numbers above as accurate today rather than fixed forever; the exact current pricing always lives on the Fellowi Images page itself.
