Privacy Policy

Your privacy is a core feature of Fellowi. This explains how we handle your data.

What we collect

Your account email; the answers you give in the personality questionnaire and (if you use it) the creator interview; your chat messages and any durable memories you choose to keep; basic technical data such as IP address and approximate country, used for fraud/abuse prevention and account security; and, if you interact with our cookie banner, your marketing-consent choice.

Third parties we use to run the service

Generating a reply is the core of how Fellowi works, and it requires sending your message text to a chat model provider (DeepSeek, or Z.AI for companions in more permissive adult conversations). When a companion generates a photo, the request is sent to our image-generation provider (WaveSpeed), and a prompt-matching service (OpenRouter) helps us reuse a similar past photo instead of generating a new one. Subscriptions are processed by PayPal, which receives what it needs to bill you - we do not see or store your card details. Account and verification email is sent through our own email relay. If you give marketing consent, we share limited, hashed conversion data with Meta to measure ad performance; withdrawing consent stops this immediately.

When you generate an image or a video, the prompt you wrote is sent to that provider, and so is any image you upload as a starting or ending frame. The provider applies its own content moderation and may refuse a request; when it does, that is its decision rather than ours, and your coins are returned. If you pay in USDC rather than through PayPal, the wallet address you pay from and the transaction itself are recorded on a public blockchain permanently, by the nature of that network and outside our control.

Generated files, and how long we keep them

Images and videos you generate are stored so we can serve them back to you, and are deleted after a limited retention period. Download anything you want to keep. Deleting a generation from your history removes the stored file.

The lobby

Lobby messages are shown to other members under your chosen nickname, never your email or any account identifier. We do store which account posted which message so that a ban or an abuse investigation is possible. That link stays on our side and is never shown to other members.

What we don’t do

We do not put conversation content into application logs or analytics. We do not sell your conversations, and we do not train models on them without your explicit, separate opt-in. Sensitive details are never promoted into durable memory by default.

One honest exception to the first sentence: when you or another member flags a message for review, an excerpt of that message is sent to the private channel our team monitors, so that a person can act on the report. That is the only route by which conversation content reaches us outside the service itself, and it only happens when something is reported.

Your controls

You can view and delete your memories, export your data, and delete your account at any time from Settings - no need to contact support. If you gave marketing consent, you can withdraw it any time from your settings, and every marketing email includes a one-click unsubscribe link.

Data retention

Conversations are kept until you delete them. Deleting a companion or your account removes its messages and associated data; deleted data becomes inaccessible immediately and is removed from primary storage according to our retention schedule.

Children’s privacy

Fellowi is for adults 18 and over only. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18, and the service is not directed at minors.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies to run the service: a session cookie to keep you signed in, a cookie to remember your preferred language, and, if you interact with our consent banner, a cookie recording your marketing-consent choice.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service changes. We will update the date at the bottom of this page when we do.
