NSFW AI Chat: Seven Myths, Checked Against the Product

AI chat for people of legal age collects myths faster than most things on the internet, partly because it is new, partly because nobody discusses it at dinner. Some of what people believe is simply wrong. More of it is half right, which is worse, because half right is what makes a person pay for the wrong thing or give up on the right one.

So here are seven beliefs we hear, each checked against how Fellowi actually behaves today. Where the honest answer is “partly”, we say partly.

Myth 1: “An adult AI says yes to anything”

Reality: almost anything between adults, and three things never. The Adult companions engage with explicit conversation willingly and can lead it. Sexual content involving minors, age-play and non-consent is refused by every companion in every category, whatever the plan and however the request is wrapped. Myth 2: “A companion is either fully explicit or completely locked”

Reality: there are three kinds, not two.Companions in the Adult category may start and escalate on their own. Most everyday companions follow you if you take the conversation there, but never steer there themselves. And the psychologists, along with characters who read young, never go there at all; they decline kindly and show you adult companions to switch to. Myth 3: “The right prompt unlocks the rest”

Reality: the permission belongs to the character, not to your phrasing. Which kind a companion is gets decided when the character is made, in code, and is not renegotiated per message. Rephrasing the same request five times gets you five versions of the same answer. If a companion is not the kind you want, the fix is another companion, which is one tap away, not a cleverer sentence.

Myth 4: “It will flood you with explicit pictures”

Reality: photos arrive when you ask for them. Companions that can send photos do so on request, not unprompted, and each one counts toward a monthly allowance that depends on your plan (the figures are on the product page). Myth 5: “Those photos are real people”

Reality: the Adult companions are fictional adults.Each has a consistent likeness that its photos are built around, but no real person posed for it and no stranger's camera roll is involved. Myth 6: “Everything you type becomes a permanent file about you”

Reality: partly, and you can see and remove most of it. Your messages are stored, because a chat that forgot its own last line would be useless, and to write a reply your text is sent to a chat model provider. Conversation content stays out of our application logs and analytics and is not used to train models without a separate opt-in.

The facts a companion carries forward about you are short durable memories, and some sensitive categories, such as health or sexual orientation, are filtered out before anything is saved. Myth 7: “Free adult AI chat is a bait and switch”

Reality: the free part is small, but it is real and it is the same product. Sign-up takes an email address and a code, with no card. The trial lasts 7 days and includes 30 messages in total with any companion, the Adult ones included, with a photo allowance of 1. Whichever of the days and the messages runs out first ends it. Nothing renews by itself, because there is nothing to charge. It is enough to learn whether a companion works for you, which is the only thing a trial should promise.
