Companions Made by Other Members: How to Find Creator Avatars and Pick a Good One
By The Fellowi Team · · 5 min read

Most companions in the gallery were written by us. A growing number were not: they were invented by members in Creator Studio, one character at a time, and published for everyone. Until now they were mixed into the same grid as everything else. Today they got a chip of their own, and this is a short guide to what you will find behind it.
Where they are
Open the companions gallery while signed in. The row that reads All styles, Realism, Anime now ends with Creators' avatars. Tap it and the grid narrows to companions made by members. Everything else still applies on top: gender, age and build, the favorites star, and the sort. Set the sort to Most popular and you get the avatars members have favorited most, which is the quickest way into the community's best work.
What a creator avatar is
A member answers a friendly interview about a character they have in mind: who she is, how she talks, what she cares about. That conversation becomes the character's description, the same kind of document our own companions run on, and a portrait is added on top. The profile page says plainly that it is a creator avatar made by a Fellowi member. If you want to make one yourself, the Creator Studio walkthrough covers every step.
What happens before you see one
- A review before it goes public. An automatic check reads the avatar first. Anything it is unsure about, and any avatar with an uploaded photo, goes to a person.
- Edits are reviewed too. When a creator changes the text or the photo, the avatar goes back through the same check.
- Your language. Once an avatar is public, its profile is translated into all eleven languages the site speaks, so a character written in Polish can be read in Japanese.
Who can chat with them
Browsing and chatting with creators' avatars is part of Premium and the plans above it. The product page lists what each plan includes. When members keep coming back to an avatar, its creator earns a reward, and the rules are written so that views and clicks do not count; the details are in how creator rewards stay honest.
How to pick a good one
- Read the profile, not just the portrait. A good avatar has a clear voice and a reason to talk: a job, a habit, a story you could walk into.
- Judge the first two replies. If she already sounds like the profile, the creator did the work. If she sounds like everyone else, move on.
- Star the keepers. Favorites make them easy to find again, and they are how other members find them too.
What they cannot promise
Review checks the rules, not the writing. Quality varies from avatar to avatar the way it does in any community shelf, and some will feel thin next to a companion we spent weeks on. An avatar can also leave the gallery if its creator unpublishes it or it is suspended after a review. And like every companion here, a creator avatar is an AI character, not the person who made it. If you are new to all of this, your first conversation is a good place to start.
Questions this post answers
Where do I find companions made by other members?
Open the companions gallery while signed in and tap Creators' avatars in the style row, next to Realism and Anime. The gender, age and build filters, favorites and sorting all work on top of it.
Are creator avatars checked before they appear?
Yes. Every avatar is reviewed before it goes public: an automatic check reads it, and anything uncertain, including any uploaded photo, goes to a person. Every later edit goes through the same review again.
Do I need a paid plan to chat with a creator avatar?
Browsing and chatting with creators' avatars is part of Premium and the plans above it. What each plan includes is listed on the product page.
