Comparison articles written by one of the two products are usually worthless, because the author picks the axes. So here is the rule we wrote for ourselves before starting: only claims that can be checked on the other side's own public pages, the date we checked them stated, and the thing they do better named out loud rather than buried. Everything below was read on 22 September 2026 from their public site.

Start with what they do better

Voice. Their homepage advertises emotive voice chat as a headline feature. Fellowi has no voice at all: our companions are text, and photos, and nothing you can talk to out loud. If hearing a reply is the thing you actually want, this comparison is already over and they are the right choice. We are not going to pretend that is a small gap.

Published material about their own product. They run a long series of user stories and a set of step by step guides to their image system. Whatever you think of the format, somebody who has never used an AI companion can read their way in. Our own written onboarding is thinner, and that is a fair criticism.

Where the two are roughly the same

On the core companion features, the public claims line up closely enough that picking on wording would be dishonest. Both sides offer memory across conversations, companions that message first, group conversations, selfies or photos in chat, and more than one relationship at a time. We have written about our own versions of these in group chats with AI companions.

Their memory claim is the strongest wording on their site: "human-level memory", described as short, medium and long term. We cannot test that from outside, so we are not going to grade it. What we can describe is ours: durable notes plus rolling summaries, retrieved into a conversation when relevant, with a list you can open and delete from. The full mechanism is in how AI companion memory works. Whether theirs is better is a question you would have to answer by using both.

Where Fellowi is different

Video, not just pictures

Their guides describe an image system for building a companion's appearance. We could find no video generation offered anywhere on their public pages. Fellowi runs a separate clip studio, Fellowi Video, alongside the picture studio at Fellowi Images, and both are general purpose rather than tied to a companion's look.

Eleven languages, not one

Their public site reads in English. Fellowi runs in eleven languages, and not just in the interface: a companion replies in the language you write in. If English is not the language you would reach for when you are tired, that difference is larger than any feature list. We wrote about how that works in chatting in your own language.

A support category with its own memory rule

Fellowi has eight companions built for emotional support rather than company, and they follow a different memory rule from everything else: nothing is stored automatically, only a goal, an exercise and what helped. That is a limitation as much as a feature, and we wrote it up honestly in what an AI psychologist remembers and what it forgets. We could not find an equivalent category on their side, though the absence of a page is not proof of the absence of a feature.

The comparison we cannot make

Price. Their pricing page returned a 404 when we checked it on 22 September 2026, and the figures are not in the public markup elsewhere, so there is nothing to compare against. We are not going to reconstruct their prices from memory or from a third party article, because a wrong number in our favour is exactly the kind of thing that makes a comparison worthless.

Ours are published and stay current because they are derived from the code that charges them rather than typed into a page: the Fellowi product facts page. If you find their current figures, compare like for like, a month of chat against a month of chat, and count what a picture costs separately.

How to actually choose

• You want to talk out loud. Them, without hesitation.
• You want clips, not only stills. Us.
• You do not want to think in English. Us.
• You want the deepest possible memory. Unresolved. Try both and judge; neither of us can prove this one to you in an article.
